Thanks for looking at this. I have worked around the issue by reverting my kernel to 5.15

There is no doubt an issue somewhere with the hardware/software stack I was using but I couldn't figure out what it was. For the record :
 - AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U
 - Kernel 6.2.0-26
 - Ubuntu 22.04.3
