I am using an old monitor which using a DVI connectors but I used a DVI to HDMI adapter which works fine on Windows operating system... My monitor is HP W2072a... I hope with the information provided helps...

  sudo apt install drm-info
  drm_info > drminfo.txt
  grep . /sys/class/drm/*/status > connections.txt

and then attach the two resulting text files here.

Thanks for the reply, these are the files you've requested... but my
monitor is not connected to my system at the moment as I have kept it on my
shelves and would be a hassle to get it back on... I hope it won't affect
the debugging process...

The monitor needs to be connected while you run the commands in comment #2. Otherwise we can't debug it.

I am really sorry for my incompetence and for any inconvenience.... Here's
the files you requested when the monitor is attached.... Anything else in
need of debugging please let me know I'll gladly... I really hope my
monitor can be used in Ubuntu... Thank you...
