Yes, it's not there by default. I was desperate and tried putting it in /lib/firmware/e100 based on a google search and similar results for other distros (fedora, I believe).
Tried it anyway, to be sure:
root@SERVER1:/lib/firmware# rm -rf e100/
root@SERVER1:/lib/firmware# rmmod e100 && modprobe e100
WARNING: All config files need .conf: /etc/modprobe.d/ibm_acpi.modprobe, it will be ignored in a future release.
root@SERVER1:/lib/firmware# ifconfig eth0 up
