Ok, I disabled SDDM from the loop and started Plasma session manually. I got some nouveau-related traces in the logs

Just for reference, I needed to do the following steps

0. Boot up with kernel 5.19
1. sudo systemctl disable sddm.service
2. reboot to 6.3.0-33
3. startplasma-wayland
4. <black screen with a mouse pointer>
5. alt+space to bring up KRunner
6. plasmashell --replace
