I have exactly same error

I have UVD problem with linux-firmware 1.173.16 and 1.173.15.
No more VAAPI hardware decoding, dual CPU rise to 70 % for H.264 video at 1080i (broadcast live) / 1080p (broadband live)

Revert to 1.173.14 or earlier solve the problem (and updates for linux-firmware blocked)

Earlier kernels selecting via grub same result.
