(1) Find the BT usb device id.
$> usb-devices > usb-devices.txt Search for an entry for Broadcom.

(2) Update the BT driver with the appropriate device id:
$> sudo modprobe btusb $> sudo echo "0a5c 21f3" >> /sys/bus/usb/drivers/btusb/new_id
(3) Confirm that the BT stack now sees the device:
$> hciconfig
