The test machine did not exhibit the fork/clone behavior in this bug. The wrong cpu times were pretty bad though and perhaps unrelated to this bug. The experiment lasted 3 days on a loaded 4096meg cache large instance. That *should have been long enough but with this bug it's tough to tell.
