Install it using Gdebi (ie. double-clicking on it or opening it directly from Firefox). Then go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager, locate linux-backports-modules in the package list, select it, and click Packages > Lock Version. Then restart and your wireless card should be OK for the time being, until this bug is fixed.
Try downloading the previous backports module:
