Comment 93 for bug 134660

I have a rt73usb dongle (Conceptronic C51RU) which works fast (54 Mbit/s) on Windows XP. On Linux (Hardy, writing this from 2.6.24-7) it is always at 11 Mbit/s or less. As I am dist-upgrading ubuntu and downloading many packages I notice that the mouse becomes jumpy and music playback suffers from extensive stutter. Jumpy mouse at least was not there in kernel 2.6.22 (gutsy), so I suspect the new kernel is to blame for the latency problems. But the low speed has always been there in all the kernels I tried. Well, at least it works, so I shouldn't complain so much... :P
