bug 272775 comment 29 says this bug should be resolved first. bug 438310 is related.

I think for unbound tasklists (no start and end-date) only the masteritem should be shown. For date-bound taskslists the recurrences within the date-range should be shown. The today-pane has a tasklist which is by definition bound to a range.
