Hey Lionel, thanks for the bug, I can understand your frustration but your comment is misplaced, the issue you get are not with lightdm but with packaging, Robert clearly stated before that he was probably not the best placed to get the alternative set up and the evaluate how derivative packaging and that he would welcome help on that, he didn't let patches unreviewed either. The upstream lightdm code issues have been addressed in a reasonable timeframe
