I can't reproduce it with that, though I could with the other in the past.

Can you try with a clean profile?

Also, can you run liferea under gdb to get a backtrace? You should
launch liferea with:

"LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/firefox gdb liferea-bin"

Look at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace to get the backtrace.
