I have patched intrepid & jaunty, both i386 and amd64 and it works BEAUTIFULLY... This is one reason why I love open source.. Again, a big Thank You to elupus.

PS: intrepid required manual patching as the code is different in xcb_util.c I can provide a patch file if required...
