Comes down to glibc vs tirpc the linking at build time is wrong (uses the wrong version).

With glibc 2.32 this won't work anymore as --enable-obsolete-rpc doesn't exist by then.

For now I'll do the revert to unbreak things.
Once 2.32 hits we can drop the revert and rebuild.
