This is a critical problem for anyone who is synchronizing Evolution.
Because timezones are not supported correctly SyncEvolution is now sending TZIDs like this:
DTSTART;TZID=Z:20100123T120000^M
Z ?
The end result is that people are getting their Evolution calendar data corrupted.
The only solution to this problem currently is to uninstall the SyncEvolution as provided by Ubuntu and install the package provided by syncevolution.org.
(To remove from Ubuntu)
1. sudo apt-get remove syncevolution
2. sudo apt-get remove libsynthesis0
