(Just for the record: it was already clear from the comments above that this is a Linux-specific bug, but just be be absolutely sure that there is no hidden cross-platform bug behind it, I tested the 'steps to reproduce' given in Description on MacOS X. Result: no problems, everything works as expected, LibreOffice is still completely functional after step 4. So, confirmed: a Linux-only bug.)
