I try in virtualbox a fresh install o Ubuntu 12.04. There are no icon's problem.
I add LibreOffice Legacy StarOffice 5 Binary in Soaftware center, the icon is still here. But after a restart, the icon is not here.

I will change the bug description.

Likely yet another bamf issue with bamf being confused by the /usr/lib/libreoffice/share/xdg/binfilter.desktop file.

summary: - libre-office dont have icon in the launcher with LibreOffice Legacy
- StarOffice 5 Binary
+ bamf: libreoffice has no icon in the launcher when libreoffice-filter-

It happens that BAMF could use /usr/share/applications/libreoffice-binfilter.desktop instead of libreoffice-startcenter.desktop... The problem is caused by the fact that they both define the same Exec.

I could hardcode a fix into BAMF, but it would be really better if the distro would take care of fixing this by just including into libreoffice-binfilter.desktop the flag:
