thought, I have experienced this problem for sometimes now, but without the renaming of the file. I found the solution in switching over to virtual box and in windows recuperating the file -- it does not eliminated the problem by re-saving -- i had to copy and past into a new LibreOffice 3.4 files and save from there -- returning to Ubuntu and opened the file OK.
this problem lurking there; and having doctored the symptoms for a while, I cannot determinate its source(?) however what i can say for sure, this bug begun after i installed Dolphin KDE file management, i am not sure, though after removing Dolphin application seeing before my eyes folders vanish, lurking with the remainder KDE Kontact that i am testing for values more appropriate to my needs.
Where is the bug?
