Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Going from 2D to 3D in a Diagram with 'Data Labels' floating over the bars makes them unreadable, as they aren't anymore 'above', as indicated in 'data series -> data labels -> placement', but half within the bars (as you can see on the screenshot)

This makes the Diagram very hard to read, and it looks unprofessional.

Using openoffice 2.4.0 on Ubuntu 8.04

Jan Rüegg, this issue seems fixed in LibreOffice Calc via the Terminal:

cd ~/Desktop && wget https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/229258/+attachment/295510/+files/document.ods && localc -nologo document.ods

double clicked the graph then clicked outside of the graph and it looked as expected. Does that work for you? If using Lucid or Maverick feel free to perform via the Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -y upgrade && sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-calc

lsb_release -rd

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. This Ubuntu release has reached EOL for Desktops.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

Since this bug hasn't been touched in a while and the Incomplete autoclose didn't work, I'm going to close it.

If you can still reproduce on a new version of Ubuntu, please reopen it.
