It would be interesting to install 'apitrace' which is a useful tool, and to run:

apitrace trace soffice.bin

while running in GL mode.

If then using qapitrace you can get the trace to crash the tracing app - then we can isolate the problem as an OpenGL driver issue and re-file (with the trace) up-stream =)
