I installed libreoffice-dbg 1:3.5.4-0ubuntu1.1 and followed instructions. $ soffice --backtrace
and opened the xlsx file and libreoffice hanged.
I killed the process by opening another terminal. $ pkill -15 soffice.bin
gdbtrace.log file is attached.
Then I have run $ soffice --strace
$ bzip2 strace.log
strace.log.bz2 file is attached.
