I also experience this running 12.04 beta2.

pam_mount tries to unmount all of my encrypted volumes listed in pam_mount.conf.xml after I run sudo. After that, I get:

sudo: pam_mount.c:417: modify_pm_count: Assertion `user != ((void *)0)' failed.
