Solution in #20 worked partially but lead to a new problem (Build failed in my case).

"WARNING: An illegal reflective access operation has occurred
WARNING: Illegal reflective access by org.codehaus.groovy.reflection.CachedClass (file:/usr/lib/gradle/4.6/lib/groovy-all-2.4.12.jar) to method java.lang.Object.finalize()"

This might be related to Java SDK 9 not being supported.
