Our next LTS release 24.04[1] will be based on debian's trixie/sid[2], and this patch is contained since 1.29.1[3]. The libmbim packages in trixie/sid is based on the upstream tag 1.30.0[4]. So, I suppose it would be available in our next LTS release (Ubuntu 24.04).
