Bug Description

Previously, I used ubuntu 18.04 or earlier versions on this old laptop without this problem.

When I was installing ubuntu 20.04 from a USB stick, I noticed that the touchpad moved the cursor very slowly -- so slow that I had never seen before. The system is dual boot. In the other OS, the touchpad works fine.

To show the problem I have prepared two short videos (see the file cursor-speed.zip). As can be seen in the videos, in both the "mouse speed" and "touchpad speed" are deliberately set to the minimum in "Mouse and Touchpad" settings. And in both I try to stop the video recorder as fast as I can. These two videos compare the speed of mouse with that of touchpad.
