I have a Canon Powershot A430 with Ubuntu 7.04 and I have the import problem.
I have tried both
SUBSYSTEM!="usb_device*", GOTO="libgphoto2_rules_end"
and
SUBSYSTEM!="usb_device", GOTO="libgphoto2_rules_end"

but nothing changes
