any chance of a patch against 1.2.4? I just checked 1.2.4 and it still has this
problem. Unfortunately the 1.2.0 patch didn't apply cleanly and I don't
understand it enough to work it into the 1.2.4 code. Surely this must affect
quite a number of users. For now I will just not move past gtk-2.6.
Just to append to this, I'm using a Sun ultra/10 with the default graphics card.
In this case that means I'm running 8-bit psuedocolor. Thats the best you get
with 1280 x 1024. To go to something like 24-bit color you have to drop down to
1024 x 768 which is just not enough. Granted this is not a cutting edge machine
but I'll bet there are a lot of them deployed. I'd be happy to test out any
patches.
