Comment 2 for bug 793646

i ran 10.10 before natty with the lirc-modules-source which had a different imon kernel driver. that used to have similar problems but the later releases didnt and the system kept running for months without problems. with the update to natty the error returned.
so i could well be the kernel driver or some setting i can pass the module when it loads. (i just dont know which one)
would be nice if this would be fixed in the default kernel module or the lcdproc package, whichever causes the problem.
