The bug 1173571 is about using which font as default for zh-tw, but all of the fonts discussed there have more or less complete coverage for zh-tw. Here I'm talking about font *not* complete for zh-hk but pretend to be so. And yes, I do wish WenQuanYi be removed as title.
> Should it be removed from both sans-serif and monospace?
Yes
> Did you intentionally not mention zh-tw?
That's correct, the font support for zh-tw and zh-hk are quite different. WenQuanYi has more or less complete support for zh-tw.
> Are we at all using zh-mo in Ubuntu, btw?
Not absolutely sure, though my suspicion is no. Same goes for zh-sg.
> What about simplified Chinese?
WenQuanYi is intended for simplified Chinese support since day one. Keeping the status quo would be better for mainland Chinese users.
