I have no chance to tick any alternatives. The Installation never starts. Thus there are no installation logs either.
As I posted in comment 30 I suspect the bug is related to this one: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/llvm-toolchain-3.8/+bug/1564156 and has nothing to do with missing language packs. Since there are an alternative in Ubuntu and other Buntu flavors to install without starting the live session, it is possible to install and download necessary updated during installation despite the bug (as I am able to verify). Since this is not possible in Kubuntu, users with modern hardware similar to mine are stuck.
I think it is really bad to release a LTS-version with such a bug.
