After installing kolabd Kolab is not usable yet. "kolab_bootstrap -b" has to be executed manually which *should* do a base configuration. But on Ubuntu Natty this does not work:
* AppArmor configuration has to be edited although this is not mentioned => Bug #357060
* /etc/kolab/templates/slapd.conf.template is invald and has to be edited before running kolab_bootstrap: Several "replica*"-lines have to be commented out to let the script not fail
* /etc/kolab/session_vars.php is not configured
(can be manually done by filling the placeholders with the values from /etc/kolab/kolab.conf)
* Horde is not configured for Kolab although it gets installed as a (indirect) requirement and all information on kolab.org indicates that Horde is a part of Kolab since version 2.2 and that it gets configured by the kolab_bootstrap script.
Although I mentioned other bugs above the focus on this bug is on the kolab_bootstrap script and its templates! I've just mentioned the to give a summary which problems occur on installing Kolab.
Besides, Bug #694539 is related: As a consequence that the configuration is not done automatically after the installation, Apache fails to (re)start. But as long as kolab_bootstrap script isn't run on installation (or even better: replaced by a debconf script) and does its work without errors the mentioned bug is no duplicate of this bug.
