Bug Description

This Modem is not working with Kubuntu 9.10 and older realases, but in the same time it works perfectly with
Mandriva, Fedora and Ubuntu plus Gnome.
Options are available to set a modem, but when trying merge, it does not work.
Would it be possible that it could be in the network operator so that the
work would take place over the Internet connection.
If it is necessary to output commands,
i am willing to test it and send feedback. The main thing is that the thing would work.

The last comment on the above bug states that it has been fixed. If this is really true, why is not working on kubuntu? Underlying 2 both distro should be the same kernel?

Kubuntu and Ubuntu using same kernel, I know.

I believe this is not kernel problem.

KNetwork Manager is not working correctly.

Using Ubuntu live cd and "gnome environment" and works,

but KNetwork manager does not work "KDE 4.4 & Kubuntu 9.10".

Hello
Is this problem present with the latest updated Karmic's or Lucid's packages?
Thanks in advance

No, KDE networkmanager is broken :)

Ubuntu Gnome Network Manager works correctly.

Simple workaround in KDE/Kubuntu:
