Sorry for insisting: The symptom of the error initially described was addressbooks def'ed in the KDE Resources not showing up in KAddressBook, but however the addresses being accessible in KMail.

I got you right in that you hold that *this* error was fixed? - Had it been fixed, shouldn't the addressbooks def'ed in the KDE Resources have reappeared in KAddressbook?
