Just tested the newest daily live-cd, and it is still present. The problem occurs, if you do things the opposite way.

You are supposed to open krdc, choose vlc or rdp (by clicking the button), fill out the connect field and press enter.

If you open krdc, start by filling out the connect field and then press the vlc or rdp button, the servername you entered is cleared again.
