I'll add my own confirmation - Toshiba eStudio printer, Hardy 64-bit, KDE 3.5.9. That this bug has been left for so long is ridiculous - especially since it has multiple confirmations and there seems to be a simple fix (ie stop breaking it).
The good news is that Okular prints ok, so there is hope for KDE4 desktops.
