Have just been bitten by this as well. The form I returned did not contain any form data.
A user should reasonably expect that form data is saved with the form, as this is what other pdf viewers do, and this is what the "File->Save As" option suggests it does. For a long form that has that has taken the user days to fill in, this is definitely an unexpected and unwelcome bug.
