are you sure upstream still watches sf.net bug tracker?
gwenview is developed in KDE svn repo and uses KDE's
bugzilla. See help->report bug in gwenview.

Questions:

o what type of image (jpeg?) was truncated to zero

o In gwenview did you use Edit -> rotate left/right
or Plugins -> image -> rotate?
