Hi,

Same thing for me. cursor changing its shape but doesn't move at all on the screen.

Using Ubuntu 17.10, kdeconnect amd64 1.0.3-0ubuntu2,
Huawei Honor 8 (Android 7 - KdeConnect 1.6.6)
