Bug Description

I've seen this particular problem reproduced on several Kubuntu PCs. I solved it once, but can't figure out how I did it. Currently seeing the problem on 6.06 and 6.10.

To reproduce the problem:

1) Fresh install of Kubuntu.
2) Log in the first time.
3) Right click the pager.
4) Select Pager Options -> (Text Label) -> Desktop Name
5) Log out
6) Log back in
7) Pager now is back to displaying Desktop numbers instead of Desktop name.

In addition, ~/.kde/share/config/ is filling up with files named minipager_applet_xxxxxx...xxxxx_rc where xxxx is different.

I'm sorry, I forgot one piece of information. I've run Gentoo PCs for years. Every single one of these was able to accept and save the change with no problem. This problem does seem to be specific to Kubuntu, not upstream.

Thanks

You can fix this on your system by erasing all the minpager* files in ~/.kde/share/config/
