Bug Description

kpager forgets its Rows setting at logout, so it needs to be set again after login.

I haven't tested other settings (yet) as this is the only one I normally change.

Rather recently it started to remember them. I'm not sure whether there was some change in kpager or not.

I have had this problem since upgrading to Dapper. It did not occur in builds from around March. I was not updating Kubuntu from the period from there to release.

It only occured in my main account on the machine, so I'm assuming it may have something to do with the profile and upgrade path.

Deleting my .kde folder seemed to solve the problem. Probably not the best solution for novice users upgrading, however.

this bug affects kpager, which is part of kde.

sorry i should have gone into detail before. I did an apt-cache show kpager and it shows " This package is part of KDE, and a component of the KDE base module. See the 'kde' and 'kdebase' packages for more information." for these reason, I changed the bug report.

Bug 51021 has a tiny bit more information, so I'm marking this a duplicate of that.
