My reasons for being on this bug is that this doesn't work in 80% of my cases:

1. I resize the plasma panel. This sometimes resizes all Konsole windows (makes them take 100% of the width, jump to my second monitor or change the height/position). This issue is tracked by another bug but it makes konsole brittle.

2. I open a new konsole, make it big (so I can see more). When I close this window, I must remember to shrink if before closing or else the next window will be small again.

3. I want to make the console *exactly* 80x25. If I simply resize the window, it doesn't snap to multiples of the font size so all my windows have a slightly different size.

Note: This is *my* workflow. If you don't like it, don't use it but it makes using konsole a pain for *me*. And just as you won't change your workflow to please me, I won't change my workflow to please konsole. :)
