I would prefer the old way in KDE 3 - "save current window as default". Maybe there could also be an option - "Save geometry on exit", but I would not be one to use that.

I find it extremely annoying that it remembers the window size. In fact, it is so annoying that I started using Konsole from KDE 3 instead because I decided that the KDE 4 version of konsole is almost unusable because of this.

I've seen the same bug (feature?) in Dolphin. That is also very annoying. I'll file a report on that as well.
