An interesting take on things (works for me) but doesn't solve the problem.

Fact is that each app used here at present is not saving it's window size+position in a reproducible way.

Main windows, sub menus, dialogues, are all affected here in v 4.6.5 it's a ridiculous situation in 2012! Having pinhead sized "windows"...pop up for an application start-up.

Most especially perhaps when M$ has got this right from year 1998 at least.
Yeah, a rant, but I'd fix it if I could and not take an arrogant stance (Martin) that helps nobody.
