I booted a Dell D600 from a Kubuntu Intrepid Ibis alpha 5 CD.
I launched System Settings, and opened Date & Time.
The current local timezone setting was /etc/localtime (UTC).
I selected the timezone list, typed "w", continued to scroll down until "Winnipeg" was visible, and selected it.
Finally, I clicked the Apply button.

I expected the time zone display to change, and thought the panel clock might change the time displayed as well.

What happened instead was ... nothing. The clock in the System Settings window stopped updating, and the Apply button remained in the depressed state. When I switched out and back into the System Settings window, the obscured areas did not refresh. When I closed the window, KWin warned
Window with title "Date & Time - System Settings" is not responding. This window belongs to application systemsettings (PID=8720, hostname=localhost)
