Hvm, Normally I am all for options, configuring, etc. but here...? Adding customization adds complexity. Adding customization (in this case) means there will be at least two modes, one broken, and one perfectly natural. Is there any user who would like to go trough all the hoops just to make resize in N steps instead of 1 (see Finex example)?
Seriously, I doubt it.

Daniel, about edges. It struck me that the priorities of plasmoid actions are (currently) mixed up. According to plasmoid look, the most common action is move, and then equally common actions are resize and rotate.
move -----> (rotate+resize)
It is hard to believe -- in reality move is the most common action, but not far from resize, and then, rather rare action is rotate.
move -> resize --------> rotate
