Comment 74 for bug 578215

Hi,

This message is for all who want to get rid
of the nepomuk process which is using up all the
CPU cycles on the Linux KDE desktop.

I found out where the nepomuk is started up from.

Its in the /usr/share/autostart directory ,
under the file nepomukserver.desktop .

As someone wrote below,

renaming this file (/usr/share/autostart/nepomukserver.desktop)
with a non .desktop extension and
clearing out the $HOME/.kde4/share/apps/nepomuk directory
seems to stop this service from running on startup.
