I noticed that when this problem occurs opening a wallet also seems to hang. The wallet opens but the wallet looks empty and it is not possible to add or delete entries. Once the KDE wallet subsystem is disabled and reenabled, the wallet works again. This might be more of a KDE wallet problem, than ksshaskpass.
