This crash appears to be an i386-specific regression in the jackd2 SRU in precise (version 1.9.8~dfsg.1-1ubuntu2). It has not been reported against any later or earlier versions.

Since this seems to be architecture-specific, and crashing with a SIGFPE nowhere near the code that was changed in the SRU, it's possible that this is a compiler-induced regression. It would be good if someone could investigate.
