This is still an outstanding bug with all softwares that have proprietary licenses (The ones that have come to my notice are the following: sun-java5-jre, sun-java5-jdk j2re1.4 and flashplugin-nonfree).

They can be installed from synaptic, but cannot be installed from apt-get because it does not default to "dialog" on its own which it should.

The fix (of reconfiguring debconf) should not be left to users to figure out.

Please fix this bug ASAP.
