If it isn't the case in Breezy then maybe it is a kernel bug. I've never done
this with 2.6.12 and am still running with 2.6.10 (because of other bugs) even
if my userspace is all the latest breezy. To sum it up: in hoary's 2.6.10-34
with all userspace being breezy I still get this behaviour.
